Para teachers have not been paid for five months

Fast demanding repair of city roads in Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh

Official demanding half of the pension as bribe!

Shankarlal Ji from Lalitpur district in Bundelkhand is visiting a village today where a group of women are getting ready to send a complaint letter to Collector. He says Govt has many schemes for poor but they are getting snatched by better off people with connivance of lower level bureaucracy. Govt has a scheme where these women are illigeble to get a support of Rs 400 per month but the local official is demanding half of the pension as bribe. NREGA : No work in future if you demand your due wages!

Shankar Lal from Lalitpur in Bundelkhand says at the one end Govt is contemplating apoointing Magistrates to look at MNREGA scams but in the rural areas it is filled with irregularities on the ground. He is telling us about two insttances where forest department officials keep the Job card of people with them and make false muster role. People have also not been paid for a work done 6 months back. No knowledge about NREGA so migrating in search of work!

Shankarlal Jaiswal is telling us about a village called Jakhora which is 22 kms from district headquarter of Lalitpur in Bundelkhand. Though the village is chosen as an Ambedkar village but they have no roads. For drinking water they are dependent on ponds and wells.
