Yashwant Ramteke from Bijapur in Chhattisgarh is talking to a person attending a rally today demanding CBI enquiry into the killings in villages near Basaguda. As we know 17 villagers were killed in a CRPF raid where some independent enquiries have found that the people killed were innocent villagers and not Naxals as claimed by the police. Savita Rath from Jan Chetna Manch Raigarh is telling us about a rally being planned in Raigarh on 15th July. The rally will demand CBI enquiry of the attack on social activist Ramesh Agrawal who was shot by some unidentified gunmen in his shop. No arrests have been made so far. They have given written complaint to officials quite a few times but there is no action. There is a handpump near a upper class landed person who does not allow dalits and adivasis to take water from there and the poor people are forced to fetch water from far.
